Anna Birtwistle - Associate
Anna Birtwistle has worked on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters and has a particular interest in discrimination issues. Prior to joining CM Murray LLP, Anna trained and worked for a leading international City law firm, particularly recognised for its employment law practice.
Anna has experience in:
- providing employment advice to large corporate clients and individuals on various issues, in particular in relation to discrimination and redundancy
- handling partnership disputes, including discrimination issues and departures
- senior executive terminations, including restrictive covenant issues
- drafting a variety of employment documentation and policies
- internal HR investigations and grievance and disciplinary processes
- working on high value cases in the Employment Tribunal and
- liaising with foreign counsel on cross jurisdictional employment policies for international clients
Anna undertook a six-month secondment to Abu Dhabi and has a background in Projects, Litigation and Banking. She is a member of the UK Employment Lawyers Association, the Association of Partnership Practitioners and the American Bar Association International Section. Anna is a proficient Japanese speaker and represents the Firm's membership at the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the British - Japanese Law Association.
