Neurodiversity in Professional Service Firm Leadership – Professional Practices Alliance Webinar, 16 June 2021, 9.30 am – 10.30 am BST

Join the Professional Practices Alliance (PPA) for an expert panel discussion on ‘Neurodiversity in Professional Services Firm Leadership’, on Wednesday, 16 June 2021.

The pandemic has not only had a significant economic impact but has also changed our typical assumptions about how and why we carry out work. Perhaps more crucial than ever is the need for modern professional services firm leaders who are innovative in their approach to problem-solving, strategising and lateral thinking, and who can maintain competitive advantage through sustainable business models. These skills are often highly prevalent in individuals who may be described as “neurodivergent”, an umbrella term coined to embrace the natural range of variation in human brain function and processing, who differ from the so-called “neurotypical” person, in that they do not process information in a way normalised by society. Examples of some of the most well-known neurodiverse conditions include: dyslexia, autism, ADHD and dyspraxia.

In this webinar, our panel of expert speakers will consider the benefits to professional services firms of harnessing the skills and qualities of neurodiverse individuals in leadership, and why it is essential that firms promote awareness and discourse around this issue, whilst understanding their legal obligations and the practical steps they can take to tap into this untapped talent pool and support a more neurodiverse workforce.

The panel will discuss the following topics:

  • How can firms boost decision-making, corporate creativity and innovation through neurodiversity?
  • How can firms encourage a culture that is more understanding of neurodiversity?
  • Diversity vs homogeneity for better business – do standardised partner expectations work effectively in a neurodiverse workplace?

Date: Wednesday, 16 June 2021

Time: 9.30 am – 10.30 am BST
