About the speakers 

Sarah Chilton, CM Murray LLP – Sarah Chilton is a Partner specialising in partnership and employment law. She is qualified to practice in England and Wales and in Scotland, and has represented clients in both the English and Scottish Courts. Sarah advises partners, partnerships, LLP members and LLPs on a wide range of issues. She has extensive experience advising in relation to partner investigations and disciplinary matters, including allegations of misconduct and sexual harassment, often engaging both regulatory and criminal issues and with the possibility of expulsion. She advises regularly on expulsion; rights in relation to discretionary decision making; partner exits; remuneration structures and disputes; breach of duties; restrictive covenants; team moves and dissolution of partnerships.

Jonathan Cohen QC, Littleton Chambers – A QC at just 38 years old, Jonathan Cohen has built his reputation on being an outstanding cross-examiner and is often brought in to address difficult cases turning on disputed evidence of fact. Robert Millard, Cambridge Strategy Group – Robert Millard is a director of the Cambridge Strategy Group, a professional services management consultancy based at the St John’s Innovation Centre in Cambridge. His practice focuses on law firm strategy, but in the context of the need to cope with the volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity inherent in today’s ‘VUCA’ world. In practical terms, this involves advising firms on their strategic direction, aspects of digitalisation and initiatives to understand emerging clients who are themselves being disrupted by digitalisation, and business model transformation.

David Fisher, CM Murray LLP – David Fisher is a Partner specialising in partnership and employment law. David has a wealth of experience advising major global corporations and senior executives on a wide variety of employment law issues. He has a vast amount of heavy-duty litigation experience as well as extensive experience in business restructurings and transfers (including TUPE issues). David advises on partner team moves, lateral partner hires and enforcement of partner restrictive covenants, and specialises in High Court injunctions, advising on enforceability of restrictive covenants, team moves and executive terminations.
